Having trouble with an application?
Unsolicited application
The unsolicited grant opportunity is only open to new grantees, not organizations that are current or previous grantees of The Campbell Foundation. If you created a new account that was not duplicated, an application was automatically created for you. If your organization is already registered, make sure to follow the instructions on the How to Apply page.
Application not available
If you received an invitation to apply but can’t locate it in your account, go back to the email and follow the instructions listed there. If you still need help, please contact Tech Support.
An unhandled fault has occurred in this flow
These errors are usually caused by exceeding character limits. Please reduce the number of characters to the limit. If you still need help, please contact Tech Support with the specific page where the error occurred.
Why is the character count higher than I expected?
Character counts include letters, numbers, punctuation, spaces, and all formatting, which may be hidden in the HTML. HTML is the code used to format text (bold, underline, italics), to create bulleted and numbered lists, to make a new paragraph, and to add hyperlinks.
Example: The sentence, “Explore The Campbell Foundation website” looks like it has 41 characters. However, due to the HTML formatting, this is what it looks like behind the scenes: <p>Explore <a href=”http://www.campbellfoundation.org/”>The Campbell Foundation website</a></p>. Therefore, the character count is actually 95.
To reduce your character count, use the “remove formatting” feature (view tutorial here). Here are some other tips:
- Use a URL shortener like bit.ly to reduce the character count of long web addresses
- Instead of using hyperlinks, include the URL (shortened if necessary) as plain text
- Use plain text dashes (-) instead of rich text bullets for lists
