Maryland Association of Soil Conservation Districts $45,000 The Farm Stewardship Certification and Assessment Program (FSCAP) was established by the Maryland Association of Soil Conservation Districts (MASCD) in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Maryland Farm Bureau, the Maryland Department of Agriculture and the Natural Resource Conservation Service to recognize farmers who have demonstrated a superior level of stewardship. Farmers must be fully compliant with their nutrient management plan and be addressing all resource concerns on their land to be certified. Certified farms receive a sign for their farm gate, a webpage profile and a press release is sent out acknowledging their accomplishment.
